Butyl xanthate potassium is a highly effective collector for sulfide ores commonly used in mines. It is mostly in a light yellow crystalline solid form and is soluble in water. It is mainly used for the flotation of multi-metal sulfide ores such as copper, lead, zinc, gold, and silver. It has wide adaptability in sorting and can be stably used in both conventional mine beneficiation and precious metal recovery scenarios.
- Solubility: Easily soluble in water; soluble in alcohol and acetone; sparingly soluble in diethyl ether and petroleum ether.
- Stability: Stable under dry conditions at room temperature; decomposes to release CS₂ upon contact with strong acids; decomposition is accelerated by high temperatures and high humidity; stable in alkaline media.
