Uses of Adjusting Agents

In industrial production, modifiers are widely employed to optimize process conditions and product performance. For instance, in chemical reactions, modifiers can regulate the system's acidity, alkalinity, ionic strength, or reaction rate, thereby enhancing product purity and reaction efficiency. In liquid or foam-based systems, modifiers are frequently utilized to control physical properties such as viscosity, density, surface tension, or foam stability. For example, the addition of modifiers to foaming agents and emulsions can extend foam longevity, refine foam texture, or render emulsions more uniform and stable. Such applications are particularly critical in the production of daily chemical products, food processing, and mineral flotation.


Modifiers also find application in environmental remediation and the development of functional materials. For instance, in water treatment processes, modifiers can adjust pH levels or metal ion concentrations to enhance the efficiency of heavy metal precipitation or removal; in catalyst or adsorbent systems, they can improve the distribution of active components or enhance reaction selectivity.
